Polaris RANGER 1000 CAB & XP 1000 CAB: The Enclosed Utility Side-by-Sides Powersports Buyers Have Been Waiting For

Polaris already dominated the UTV market heading into 2026. As the best-selling side-by-side brand in North America — with UTV sales data showing the RANGER 500 as the highest-retailing midsize SxS in the industry during Q4 2025 — the powersports giant didn't need to shake things up. But it did anyway.

In early 2026, Polaris Off Road announced two brand-new enclosed cab models: the 2026 RANGER 1000 CAB and the 2027 RANGER XP 1000 CAB. Both expand the already-largest cabbed SxS lineup in the powersports industry and bring all-weather performance to price points that more buyers can actually afford.

2026 RANGER 1000 CAB — Heat When You Need It Most

The RANGER 1000 CAB builds on the popular RANGER 1000 Premium platform by adding what a lot of utility riders have been asking for: an enclosed cab with factory-installed heat. Starting at $21,999 (U.S.) and shipping to dealers in February 2026, this three-seat model is available in four colors — Granite Gray, Mirage Beige, Rover Rust, and Polaris Pursuit Camo — and is backed by a one-year warranty.

For landowners, farmers, hunters, and work-property riders who deal with cold winters, rain, or heavy dust, this model offers a practical step up from open-cab riding without crossing into the $30,000+ NorthStar territory.

2027 RANGER XP 1000 CAB — Full HVAC for All-Season Comfort

The RANGER XP 1000 CAB takes it further. Starting at $24,499 (U.S.), this model offers a factory-installed HVAC system — both heating and full air conditioning — making it a genuine four-season machine. It's available in three-seat or CREW configurations and starts shipping to dealers in March 2026.

Key features of the XP 1000 CAB include:

  • Enclosed cab with fixed glass windshield and powered front windows
  • Variable AC compressor that delivers faster cooling even at idle and low RPMs
  • 82-horsepower ProStar engine for serious pulling and hauling capability
  • Three-position throttle control with selectable drive modes
  • Self-leveling suspension and Active Descent Control on select trims
  • One-year warranty — standard across the new CAB lineup

Reid Wilson, President of Off-Road Vehicles at Polaris, put it simply: "Our new cab models offer value options for consumers who need all-season comfort to tackle work and play in a variety of weather conditions."

Why This Matters in the 2026 Powersports Market

There's a reason more buyers search "powersports shop near me" or "atv dealer" after a cold weekend on an open-cab machine. Enclosed cabs with climate control aren't a luxury anymore — they're what a growing segment of utility SxS buyers expects.

Polaris has long held the top spot in the sxs polaris segment, and these two new RANGER CAB models reinforce that position by giving dealers more entry points to sell into the enclosed-cab category. The gap between the $21,999 RANGER 1000 CAB and a $40,000+ Xpedition is now bridged by a compelling, factory-built option that most powersports buyers can realistically finance and justify.

Whether you're hauling hay on a farm, managing a large property, or just tired of freezing on your morning ATV ride, the new RANGER CAB lineup is worth a conversation with your local Polaris powersports dealer.
